My fiance and I are travelling for a year hoping to spend all our money on adventures and fun rather than a fancy wedding.

We're easy going fun people who enjoy meeting new people. We plan to have kids and settle down one day, and now is our time to explore the world. David has done a bit of travelling, and Rachel is visiting Europe for the first time - and a few new places as well.

Super positive. Met some cool people, enjoyed my travels more thanks to local knowledge. Oh, and ended up at one of my hosts weddings in New Orleans which was mindbogglingly brilliant. (that's a word I'm sure)

David is a sucker for those cheap action hero spy books freely available in backpackers the world around. Jack Reacher, Harry Bosch, etc. Rachel prefers "real" books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ice climbed to 5,066 metres in Bolivia to see the sun rise over the Andies. Ironman Port Macquarie in 10:45. Ran with the bulls in Pamplona and than with Contador up the Col du Tourmalet at TDF. Camped through Patagonia for nearly a month which made me full in love with Argentina, their family values and butchers!
