About Me

I love adventures (especially those breathtaking nature adventures) and I love to learn pretty much anything and everything -- Greek mythology, linguistics, cardiovascular diseases, professional wine-tasting, the Big Bang and how our universe formed, Japanese archery -- you name it! And of course, FOOD! Gourmet restaurants, that hip new veggie place around the corner, cooking homemade ethnic meals, and basically any type of bakery or patisserie will catch my eye -- though I must say I'm very partial toward good dark chocolate. I'd say I'm a cheerful, laid-back, and considerate guy.

Do what you like, and like what you do.
(If you plan to adopt this philosophy, please be aware that this is not grounds to do anything illegal or nonsensical ;P )

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Stayed with some awesome hosts throughout Europe and can't wait to meet more cool people -- it's been changing the way I travel as I make great friends around the world. I can't wait to have my own place where I can start hosting other Couchsurfers!

Interests

If it wasn't obvious already, FOOD FOOD FOOD! But besides that, I love solving puzzles, going cycling and hiking, and trying out new card games or sports. I'm always up for a good movie or a spontaneous adventure. I often go on aimless walks to just absorb the fresh air and to find cool hidden places in a city and of course, to go people-watching.

Music, Movies, and Books

The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss - it's not that popular, but one of my all-time favorites.

The Scarlet Pimpernel (1982)

Favorite TV Shows: Blacklist, Game of Thrones, Sherlock Holmes, Suits

I'm also a big fan of documentaries, so if you have any recommendations, let me know!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I flew over the Grand Canyon in a helicopter -- one of the most amazing sights of my life!

And it wasn't entirely intentional, but I've hugged a dolphin before... I can tell you more when we meet up :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Entertaining friendly company that can cheer you up in any situation :) And hopefully some baked surprises or a delicious meal and dessert!
