Overview
About Me
I have grown up living in different cities in India, a good mix of smaller towns and bigger metros. After working in the IT sector for a short period of 6 months after my under grad, I went for my MBA. It also gave me an opportunity to spend 4 months in US through my college's exchange program. Subsequently, I joined Goldman Sachs (Investment Banking) in India and got an opportunity to work in a company where my teams constituted of people from different countries and diverse backgrounds. I have worked for one month in New York and 2 months in Hong Kong while working with GS. I left Goldman recently after working for 2 years with the Asia team.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I recently left my job in banking and have been travelling since then. It is a very difference experience as compared to the earlier trips that I took, which were more like travelling as a tourist. It meant staying in hotels and very less interaction with people and hardly any new friends after the entire trip.
Now I love to backpack, stay in hostels, homestays and 'couchsirf' so that I get an opportunity to meet new people and share travel stories. It also lets me save money that otherwise I would have spent on hotels and lets me travel longer, meet more people and learn new things about a new country everytime I travel.
