ABOUT ME
I am a down-to-earth guy who loves good food and good company.
PHILOSOPHY
Life is too short to not have fun. At the same time, I don't believe that unchecked hedonism is sustainable. This translates into a philosophy of healthy living interspersed with fun times with friends. I love spontaneous adventure, and am also a bit of an adrenaline junkie. I also secretly enjoy being in dangerous/difficult situations when travelling.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I haven't had too much experience with the couchsurfing.org website, but have hosted a number of couchsurfers at my apartment via a roommate who is very active in the CS community.

Music, Movies, and Books
would it be bad if I said harry potter? hmm. I enjoy reading both fiction and non-fiction, but if I had to choose the three authors that have had the most profound impact on my life, they would be michael pollan, mark bittman, and jhumpa lahiri.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Lying in the sand in an Egyptian desert oasis, gazing up at the sea of stars and swirl of the milky way.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know some things about nutrition. I also love talking about weird plants and animals (especially invertebrates). I have also travelled a fair amount and would be more than happy to share my experiences with you.
