About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To feel as alive as possible

ABOUT ME

My real name is Vita. I am not a persona. I am a lesbian activist and have been for many years. I enjoy finding new ways of practicing my politics and of meeting new people who are similar or different to me. Despite having strong politics, I'm very chilled about other people's individual choices providing they don't choose to be sexist or racist etc

PHILOSOPHY

I have a mischief-making streak which seems to be getting stronger as I get older. It's playing with no malicious intent. That's not the reason I live my life. That question is too deep to answer in a little box. Maybe over some lovely chilled white wine we can discuss it

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have lived in different political communities in my lifetime and that's why I am attracted to the site and this project. Still inexperienced on this website

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None as yet. I hope to go to a few socials soon

Interests

Feminism, lesbian and gay issues, music/dancing, chilling, chatting, eating with wine and good conversation, putting the world to rights and having fun adventures

Music, Movies, and Books

I like intelligent films with interesting and surprising endings. I like cheesy dance music but I also like listening to people who are really into other types of music about why they like it and hearing what they like and learning about it, I love many classics and also lesbian feminist stuff but, once an avid reader, my desire to read seems to have dried up with the advent of the net.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I took a council to court and won - and that landmark victory led to a new history of charities/community groups finding ways of having an equal voice with their funders. I didn't do this alone. I had to work with others. But my drive and conviction saw it through

Teach, Learn, Share

Experience of political movements and what I've learned from them - this is now living history. Why feminism and other politics still has meaning in this society. I'd like to learn about local cities and about who individuals are.
