About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Find places to stay till I find a place to live. And meet some great people along the way!
ABOUT ME
I'm an artist at the core of my being. Like I'd imagine many of the people on here are. Music, comedy, and writing is the trifecta that best summarizes my passion and talent. It would take longer to explain what I've done (or really, haven't done) with these and what I plan to do both in the near future and in the long run. There's no escaping it - this is what I have to do with my life.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm a newly-minted agnostic (2 - 4 years in the making) who wants to make the most of life free of the external and internal constraints of despotism and dogma. More than anything I want to create and experience beauty. And love's kind of cool too.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I learned of this when my roommate in a house of 7 guys (last Spring) invited some Europeans (forget which countries) to stay with us. Of course, he didn't bother to mention it to any of us till the night of. We were really sketch on it, but it turned out to be fine and pretty cool.
As I have no home, I'm not able to host anyone. So I'm on the mooching end of the equation for now. :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Twice in Seal Beach (with the same guy) and once for a three-night stay in San Juan Capistrano. Both were awesome.

Dream Theater, Radiohead, Wicked, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Yellowcard, Rush, Thrice, Debussy, Wagner, Muse, anything Max Martin and/or Dr. Luke does, Avenged Sevenfold, all Disney music.
Stephen Colbert's book is pretty phenomenal.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Formed a boy band and won first place at our college's annual talent show for our original breakout ballad. Okay, maybe that's not the greatest thing I've ever done, but the song kicked ass and it was like a perfect/ridiculous moment.
The irony is that the next year I went to the opposite extreme and co-wrote and performed a 10+ minute biblical metal opera about the giants in the Old Testament complete with an on-stage battle (that flooded into the audience). Oh yeah, and one of the "giants" is a friend of mine who's a Strongman champion and he lifted, then dropped, a 300 lb. boulder into the stage and accidentally broke it. Between that, going four minutes over what we promised, and the mention of "the Battle of 1,000 Foreskins" and "demonic copulation", I'm pretty sure our evangelical Christian college disqualified our performance (even though that shit was all biblical).
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach guitar and some keyboard. I'm also good at English and have tutored before. I've done some freelance audio transcription work as well. I'd be happy to assist with any of the above.
