ABOUT ME

I am a 24 year old Social Work Masters student, who has a very long summer this year in between my two years at university and am very keen to do some more travelling! I did a round the world trip in 2012 (Thailand, Japan, USA, Ecuador, Peru and Brazil) which was awesome. I just got back from the USA in June, doing a road trip from Portland to LA. I'm half American actually and was born there, so going back to my roots :) And I'm planning to do a trip to Vietnam in August :)

I'm loving my degree and have spent the this year working in Adult Mental Health which has been fantastically interesting and rewarding. But realizing that once I graduate as a proper Social Worker time for travel may be limited. Gotta take advantage of the time while you have it!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've done hosting and surfing, both have been great. It's been a while for me as the last year has been so busy. Looking forward to getting back into the swing of it, and will repay with more hosting later in the summer/autumn.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have really enjoyed getting to meet and chat to new people. There's nothing like getting to know a country with the help of someone who lives there. Makes the whole experience much more authentic.
