ABOUT ME

I'm currently pursuing a masters as a family nurse practitioner. I learned about couchsurfing when I was studying abroad in Lyon, France and I have been hooked ever since. I love traveling, cooking, hot yoga, biking, skiing, reading and anything that has to do with a body of water. I have recently gotten into Green Smoothies, which consist of spinach and a combination of fruits. It has done me wonders.

I have couchsurfed throughout Europe and would love to close the circle and have some of my host come visit me and stay with me.

Couchsurfing is the greatest experience. I have gotten to meet some really great people through this network and would recommend it to anyone. I feel like this does help make the world a better place.

I'm a huge movie buff, I love all sorts of movies. Some of my favorites include Beetlejuice, Legends of the Fall, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Silence of the Lambs, Inception, Pan's Labyrinth, Transpotting, Requiem for a Dream, Volver, Motorcycle Diaries, Run Lola Run, Amelie, and many many more.

True lover of music. Reggae and techno are some of my favorites, as well as reggaeton. I also like rock, salsa, hip/hop, and anything I can dance to, except country. Some artists that are my favorites are Coldplay Incubus, U2, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Bob Marley, Lady Gaga, Interpol, The Faint, No Doubt, The ROlling Stones, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Eminem, Dr. Dre, Billy Idol, The Beatles, The Talking Heads, Adele, aloe Blacc, almost any house music from Ibiza, Gorillaz, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Prince, and the list could go on and on...

I love reading anything by Paulo Coelho, such as Veronika Decides to Die, Eleven Minutes, The Devil and Miss Prym, The Winner Stands Alone, The Alchemist. I also like reading books on political figures that have created change for the better, such as Parting Waters on MLK and Radio Free Dixie on Robert Williams. Sex at Dawn, Born to Run, Conversations with God, Memoires of a Geishi, A Piece of Cake, Life of Pi, Silence on the Mountain. Memories and Poetry. Love, love, love reading <3

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

One amazing sight that I can think of is seeing the moon set into the ocean in Costa Rica with a clear sky full of stars. It was breathtaking and forever imprinted on my memory. I will never forget it.

Traveling is the best way to gain wisdom. No book can teach you what traveling does. Everyone should break out of their bubble and just go!

Acquiring language breaks down walls.

I have been told by some that I have the Mother Teresa Syndrome, meaning I care too much and always want to help people. But even though I have gotten burned many times by people who take advantage, or take me for granted, I refuse to harden myself turning more like those that have burned me before. I refuse to let them tarnish my goodness or willingness to give. So even though you have been hurt by someone who didn't see how good of a person you were, don't let them change you for the worse. That is how you make the world a better place.
