About Me

Hey everyone! I'm Vivian, I grew up in Michigan, USA and I recently graduated with a Sociology B.A. Currently, I have been traveling around Europe since May 2023, and will soon begin my travels in SE Asia in March 2024. I love exploring new cities, trying new cuisines, and sharing stories and laughs with people. Traveling has made me fall in love with life itself- I feel at home when I watch sunsets over a city, find pretty seashells on the beach, and when I eat a home cooked meal with a genuine person that I’ve either known or met while traveling. If you host me, let's cook a meal together!

Would love to have a chat and get to know each other. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’ve only stayed and volunteered in hostels, which has been a fun experience, but I have found that I am not able to connect with local people. I want to know your favorite nooks in the city- what your favorite cafe is, where you go when you’re with your friends- I want to know the things and places that made you fall in love with your city!

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to just about anything except country music. I like music that’s a little funky and fresh, or has hard hitting beats, and songs that you can sing along to and cry your heart out.

Everything Everywhere All At Once was a movie that did indeed, make me feel everything everywhere all at once. I gasped, laughed, cried, and then wanted to hug my mom after watching this film. I am also a sucker for cheesy rom-coms.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I’ve volunteered for an organization called Habitat for Humanity, it’s an org that renovates houses to provide housing for low-income individuals.

Also, a lot of people have told me that my banana bread is amazing, so I’ve made a lot of people happy with my baking.
