ABOUT ME

I'm an artist and a student, currently studying illustration at SCAD Atlanta. I am addicted to travel, and all the inspirations I get from it. Mostly, I love getting to know people from different places and backgrounds than myself. I like to make people laugh, and to share my hobbies and talents with people.

PHILOSOPHY

Travel has led me not only to broaden my understanding and love of the world, but it has also allowed me to see the beauty and wonder of my own country and culture.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had some fantastic hosts in Copenhagen and London. My whole experiece was so much better than it would have been had I not stayed with them! I've also had some great experiences hosting here in the U.S.. Hopefully once I get my apartment set up here in Atlanta, I can get back to hosting!

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I enjoy all sorts of films, but my favorites tend to be independent or foreign films.. I suppose it's because they're so different from what I expect in American films. My favorite movies include: Pan's Labyrinth, Edward Scissorhands, Amelie, Jab We Met, the Lord of the Rings, Slumdog Millionaire, Spirited Away, Kiki's Delivery Service, My Neighbor Totoro, The Fall, Rang de Basanti, and the original A&E version of Pride and Prejudice.

I'm eclectic with music too. Favorites: Coldplay, Owl City, Regina Specktor, Sigur Ros, Goldfrapp, Chauhit Mohan, AR Rahman, Hikaru Utada, OneRepublic, Muse, Josh Groban, Enya, Celtic Woman, Loreena McKennit, M.I.A., Imagine Dragons, Basshunter, and Mika.

I could live on books alone. I won't list all my favorites (we'd be here all day), but here are some: The Lord of the Rings, The Neverending Story, The Abhorsen Trilogy, The Once and Future King, Harry Potter, The Chronicles of Narnia, Haroun and the Sea of Stories, Sherlock Holmes (any), anything by Jane Austen, The Discworld Novels, and anything by Lewis Carroll. My favorite manga include Death Note, Nana, One Piece, Rurouni Kenshin, and Dragon Ball.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Hitchhiked in the middle of the night in the Irish countryside. Hehe. Oh, and spent a couple of weeks by myself in Osaka, Kyoto, and Tokyo, sleeping in hostels and on overnight buses.

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I think one of the hardest things to remember in life is to not lose sight of your hopes and dreams.. it's easy to get caught up in the "real world" and forget what you originally set out to do, or to settle for something less. I will always make it a priority to remember where I came from and where I want to go, and to not allow myself to get bogged down in daily life til everything is forgotten.
