Overview
About Me
23, psychology student, german
I just started Couchsurfing and went on my first trip to Sweden. I couldn't be more grateful for all the amazing experiences I had with Couchsurfing.
One phrase that will always be stuck in my head is "if you start to lose faith in humanity you have to try Couchsurfing" - so true! I met such friendly, generous, simply amazing people on my travels and can't wait to explore more of the world!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To make my travels more authentic, experience places through the eyes of locals, meet new people and for the adventure!
Interests
Everything about culture, music, art
- I often visit museums in new places but also like to be introduced to the culture by locals:)
I love to read and usually take a book on my trips - favourite books are English classics such as Jane Austen
I like sports and play Lacrosse - when I'm travelling and can't work out, I try to compensate by walking around the city a lot :D
I'm studying psychology at university and I'm really passionate about my subject. I enjoy conversations about psychology and life that go beyond small talk.
As most people here I like travelling and meeting new people ;)
Music, Movies, and Books
English literature Jane Austen, Shakespeare, George Orwell etc.
I like music and films and enjoy concerts, open air cinemas etc. but can't really specify my taste in music and films.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I lived and studied in England for a year and had the best time:)
I did workaway for two weeks on the idyllic Isle of Mull in Scotland, renovating a yoga centre with two friends. We were hosted by a lovely young woman who lived there by herself (only company was her cat) and who cooked the most delicious vegetarian meals. It took an hour long car drive to get to the next supermarket. The house was located right next to a beautiful lake and the place was perfect for hiking. It was a very relaxed stay, however we ran out of oil for the heating at some point (it was February) - that was really tough but we survived and it was an adventure :D
Teach, Learn, Share
I started learning Finnish last year, so I can teach you a few Finnish words and I'm always eager to learn new things:)
I can also share my knowledge of psychology with you ;)
If you're staying at my place I'm very likely to make pancakes or waffles in the morning!
What I Can Share with Hosts
a positive attitude, chats about psychology and life and maybe my cooking skills:D
