About Me

CURRENT MISSION

create, and live in this moment!

ABOUT ME

I'm creative and love anything related to nature and the outdoors except maybe mosquitoes. Ahh I can deal they have their place and they can give us a good story or feed a fish I suppose.
I enjoy meeting new people and experiencing new things. I like to have fun as much as possible.
I am kind and compassionate and want to be the best person I can be. The wind is the right direction.

PHILOSOPHY

I read a good quote in a book called Deep Survival a while ago. The quote was from some other work but went something like this. "Eat life or it will eat you." I want to live full of life, with tenacity, awareness and passion in the moment. Also to love freely.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am hoping to surf as well as host in the coming future. I know a lot of cool places in Glacier Park.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Just unofficial stays at friends places or friends of friends houses.

Interests

I enjoy creating art. Anything from pottery, chainsaw carvings, poems, drawings or a little music with the old guitar. I love to go out and dance once in a while too. Hiking and spending time in nature is probably my favorite thing to do. Checking out random interesting things while on a trip. Hanging out with friends for a beer on occasion. Building longbows when I have the time. Just signed up with a novice hockey league down here in Missoula and am loving it. Life is pretty sweet.

Music, Movies, and Books

I've always been a pretty big Zeppelin fan. I also like Tool and the White Stripes a lot. Music is something I really like to explore. Traditional and world music is always a pleasure to hear. I don't really read all that much and its kind of a shame. I love a good book when I get into one but I'm always doing something else it seems. The last book I read was Fools Crow by James Welch. Historical fiction about the Blackfeet tribe here in Montana at a time when white settlers were just coming through. Epic book, very beautiful. I only watch a movie about once every few months. Good news if anyone wants to watch one though I probably haven't seen it and it will be exciting.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While working in Glacier National Park our crew witnessed a sow grizzly bear playing with her cubs in a large open area of rolling hills. The cubs were as big as she was and they kept running for miles chasing each other and playing. We watched them for quite a while and it seemed the mood of their play was a celebration and maybe a going away. It was fall and cubs that big would usually go off and hibernate on their own in the coming winter.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would like to learn more about cultures, cultural music and languages. I would like to learn more about the history of the places I visit. I can be pretty handy fixing things if anyone needs. I could teach a bit about bow making and guitar. Ice skating is super fun!
