Sobre mí

Hey!

I come from a small country in Northern Europe that many people mix with it's closest neighbour Latvia and also have trouble pronouncing it's English name xD

I've devoted a generous part of my life to music, first learning to play piano, then switching to organ (recent graduate!). Besides my passion for music, I am deeply interested in history, fine arts, culture & religion (typically I have to see every cool old church I come across) and languages. I like to spend time reading, watching movies, playing video games (can get pretty immersed in those), taking photos and generally doing something creative or learning new stuff.

Oh and I LOVE cats and chocolate :D

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I love traveling and exploring new places, preferably not like a guided tourist but completely on my own. That way I've found lots of gorgeous places I would've otherwise overlooked. I also love meeting local people and learning about their life :D

And still searching for my favourite place on this planet where I would like to settle! Maybe it's where you live? :D

Música, películas y libros

I'm usually listening to something composed before 1800 (good old times). That's also the music I usually like to play :)

Favourite kind of movies are those with great visuals, smart plot and dialogue. More often than not I'll go for historic or fantasy setting than something contemporary. Oh and also I don't quite get when people call a movie that has been released a few years ago "old". "Old movie" for me has to mean at least 50-60 years old, considering that cinema has been around for more than a hundred years :P So yes, "vintage" lover here, hehe.

Bookwise I read a lot of non-fiction, so historic or scientific stuff. But I'll enjoy a good fiction too, usually something along the lines of my movie preferences.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

You could learn some things about a little country not many people in the world know about :D

And if you have a piano, I'll play something for you ^^
