Hey there! I’m Vladimir, a French adventurer, mountaineer, and storyteller on a mission across Europe!

Starting in February 2025, I did embark on an ambitious journey called “50 Shades of Europe”: a one-year expedition to climb the highest peak of every European country. This isn’t just a sporting challenge—it’s a unique way to explore the diversity of Europe, meet locals, and dive deep into the traditions, cultures, and stories that shape each country.

To make this journey more meaningful, I’ve set myself a few eco-friendly rules:
🚆 No planes—only hitchhiking, trains, and boats to travel as sustainably as possible.
⛺ Sleeping in nature or with locals—to minimize my impact and truly connect with the people I meet.
📽️ Documenting everything—I create weekly YouTube videos and daily content on social media to share the adventure with the world.

A small request!
As part of my journey, I’m conducting interviews with locals to gather their thoughts on their country, traditions, culture, and way of life. If you’re open to it, I’d love to chat with you on camera (or off-camera, if you prefer) for my videos!

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

Beyond just finding a place to sleep, I see Couchsurfing as a gateway to meeting incredible people and experiencing a country through the eyes of its locals. I love exchanging travel stories, learning about different cultures, and sharing laughs over a good meal. In return, I can share stories from my expedition, teach you some mountaineering tips, and cook a meal from my home country!

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I climbed a 6000 meters high peak in the Indian Himalayas…. In the Kashmir with a group of 15 Indians in 2022. That was tough but outstanding. I will never forget the filling arriving on the top . I documented everything in a 50 minutes documentary on my YouTube Chanel : Vladimir Sutter
