About Me

CURRENT MISSION

World Peace. Always.

ABOUT ME

During the day, I'm an ordinary student at the Vienna University of Technology, but at night, I become...

...Random-Man! The hero, who spends too much of the night with not sleeping!

Just kidding, I'm an ordinary student at night, too.

I'm a calm and quiet guy, pragmatic and straightforward, trying to be as uncomplicated as possible (although I mess that one up from time to time). Like most people, I'm still looking for the meaning of life, but I don't worry about it too much as long as everything goes easy and stressless.

When not studying math, which btw. is the purest essence of beauty humankind has ever discovered (some may disagree, but one day you will be enlightened, too), I try to motivate myself to be productive elsewhere, be it educating myself on other topics, doing sports, traveling, or whatever.

I also have an addiction to gummy bears, colorful socks and (sometimes barely) insightful quotes, which is why I will end this section with one:

Estragon: "Let's go."
Vladimir: "We can't."
Estragon: "Why not?"
Vladimir: "We're waiting for Godot."

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in the basic idea of the theory of Transactional Analysis, which boils down to: Every person, with all the many individual facets, is ok.

I think acceptance is one of the most important features in people, which is why I try to be as open-minded and as free of prejudice as possible.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Ancient Greece was right in granting hospitality so much value. I'm on Couchsurfing, because every form of travelling is a great experience, and the concept of Couchsurfing is no less great in enhancing it.

Interests

I love to aimlessly surf the internet for food for thought. I especially love indie/art games and could spend weeks playing them. I also love tinkering with PCs, which is why my room comes off as some scary command center to most people.

When I get off the net, I force myself to do some sports. I was never a sports guy, but in the beginning of 2013 I got fascinated by olympic weightlifting (should start looking for a coach, though). Besides that, I enjoy sports that require precision, like pool or darts.

I started photography as a hobby a few years ago, and it made travelling much more fulfilling. Our mind is a great place for memory, but pictures are great for outsourcing the little details you can't possibly remember in their entirety.

I used to play the piano regularly and occasionaly try out some new tunes on it or on my harmonica.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies - I enjoy thoughtful or even bizarre movies, but also like purely entertaining ones. Favourite movies include No Man's Land, Man From Earth, 12 Angry Men, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close and basically everthing from Stanley Kubrick.

Music - I went through many phases, including classical music, metal and drum'n'bass. Now, I just listen to what sounds interesting.

Books - I enjoy Sci-Fi like Stanislaw Lem, russian literature and some german classics, especially Heinrich von Kleist. I also like to read non-fiction, popular science books, although sadly I don't take enough time to read.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'd get in trouble if I wrote that here...

Teach, Learn, Share

As I still have to learn a lot (and I love learning about anything and everything), there is not much I can teach. I'm pretty good with mathematics, though, so If you happen to need help in that, I'm glad to share the beauty of this abstract science.

Countries I’ve Visited

Croatia, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
