Why I’m on Couchsurfing

first i joined cause i wanted to travel the world and meet people. then i started working non stop and didn’t really travel that much. recently i had a near death experience and spent some time in the hospital, so now i feel it’s time to finally go after those young dreams. asia is the first stop: SINGAPUR!!!

(also, my travel partner belén is all excited about staying in futuristic capsules… but honestly, I just can’t follow her on that idea... I’d rather keep things human, not robotic).

Music, Movies, and Books

i work as a music journalist (and even a jury at the national music awards in chile), so music is kinda my life. i like a bit of everything: rock, indie, experimental… but my heart goes to hip hop, trap and reggaeton 🖤 don’t judge me lol, i love latin and african rhythms, and i can see the deep social and cultural aspects in them

movies? i’m into tarantino, david lynch (yeah i know, kinda normie lol) but my top favs are korean masterpieces: oldboy and parasite.

books → i mostly read non fiction, like journalism or essays about society. but i also enjoy fiction, specially haruki murakami and chilean writers like alejandro zambra.

also i love anime.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

im going with 3 in order of amazing:
3. one time i ended up on the cover of the most popular newspaper in chile… totally by accident lol.
2. once i went to the doctor just for a small cold and they discovered i had a screw stuck in my ear (no idea how long it was there). four surgeons tried to take it out and it was the worst pain of my life… and they didnt.
1. i found my dog after he was lost for 2 years. i never gave up and kept looking for him every week until one day i finally did.

Teach, Learn, Share

i’m way more nerd than i look. i love history, culture, cinema, politics, basically everything that makes me curious. so i love learning A LOT.

but i also love dancing, street fashion and creative industries. i guess i’m kinda a “cool nerd” — like having a 16-year-old girl and a 65-year-old man living in the same body lol.

What I Can Share with Hosts

-i love cooking (vegetarian), so i can make some chilean food if we find the ingredients... and teach you too.
-i do photography: could be an artistic portrait session or capturing any activity (sports, work, daily life). my style is kinda documentary.
-tips for social media and marketing (i worked as creative with netflix).
-tons of random stories that will make you go wtf.
-probably the weirdest girl you’ll meet this year.
-if you’re into it, i can teach you how to dance like a real latin!
-also i can teach u a lot about chilean history, i used to make particular classes about it. and latin music, of course.
