About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Figuring out London/Scotland/Wales/Ireland/Iceland travel plans!!
Learning how to fly fish/fish in general. I would love to gain more self sufficient skills.

ABOUT ME

Working kitchens at the moment. Breakfast and lunch champ.

Love the outdoors, camping, and all that good stuff. I travel locally via bike, bus, or foot. Currently trying to befriend all the cats and dogs in the neighborhood.

Continuously looking for new experiences.

Super down to help out with housework and walking your pup/taking care of other pets.

PHILOSOPHY

Live life to the fullest. I'm worrying less about capitalism and focusing more on my relationships with friends and family as well as trying to be present day to day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As myself, I'm game to meet up if you want to friend it up.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first ever CS experience was in DC and shortly again in NYC a week or so later. My best CS experience so far was in NH.

I love the concept of strangers just offering kindness to each other and getting to know people in these chance yet intentional encounters.

Interests

I strongly believe in volunteerism and giving back to the community. I'm not worried about making a ton of money as long as as I'm doing something I enjoy.

The environment is my passion. Recycling, restoration, invasive species removal and the like.
My favorite work is trail building or repair. It's so satisfying.

Huge fan of swimming as well as water sports in general. Semi-retired rugger. Novice rock climber. Social cyclist.

Music, Movies, and Books

I read whatever I can get my hands out, both fiction and nonfiction. I've been getting into graphic novels.

Haven't narrowed down my favorite movies but Lilo & Stitch as well as Moana are my go to feel good movies. Miyazaki 100%

Music artists I'm really into right now- Thao & The Get Down Stay Down, Hayley Kiyoko, Rihanna, La Luz, Lin Manuel-Miranda, Sza, Cumulus

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living in the woods with 29 like minded individuals for 10 months. Included a winter in New England, a buggy spring, the sweltering summer, and a glorious leafing.

Floating down the Green river in Utah with fourteen other people for 22 days. Outward Bound, August 2008. Course VRN857.

I obviously can't pick just one...

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you about how to plant things, tie knots, squat. I've been getting into making steamed buns. Can teach general geography things, conservation methods, etc.

I'm always down for cooking and/or baking parties.

Can also make two, possibly three different clay whistles.

Would love to talk rugby or how to maintain or repair hand tools.

Into splitting wood for your home.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories, knowledge. A treat from home.

Def down to cook or bake for or with ya.

Countries I’ve Visited
