About Me

Life-long traveler.

Hi everyone! My name is Volodymyr, I'm 20 years old student at the University of Groningen.
I was born in the Ukraine, in the city of L'viv which is closest to Poland. Having started my studies abroad I decided to travel as much as possible, in addition to that meet and hang out with locals. Why? Because I am very social creature and this is the best way to understand the culture of others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

First of all, for me it's about cultural exchange – meeting people all across the world and learning about their culture, ideas, thoughts, and ways of life. Getting to know people you otherwise would never have known.
Next, I do understand the value of helping other people out. Only by supporting each other we can make our life and world better. In addition to that, going for a walk or just staying in and chatting- is what I like about this thing.

Music, Movies, and Books

The Kiss, Led Zeppelin, Queen.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2017 during my visit to Canada I managed to swim in the Niagra Falls.

Teach, Learn, Share

Since I'm mad about cooking (but not much about eating) I can easily teach people how to cook Ukrainian dishes and language basics. Sharing my own traveling experience with others is also what I like to do. Last but not least, I can show you around my hometown, and give some tourist tips which you won't find on the Internet.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I know how hard life can be, so if you are like me and travel on a budget I can easily share food and drinks with you. Live is hard sometimes, so it's good if we help each other.

Countries I’ve Visited
