About Me
I want to travel to places I read about in books, experience cultures, and talk to people to expand my understanding of the world ...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am living in a small studio type apartment near two big universities in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines so I cannot offer much. But I just have a nice small abode with garden in the cool mountains of Tanay, Rizal (about 1 hour from Manila) where I relax on weekends. This abode is only 30sqm but has two floors where I like the balcony's view of the nearby hills. It also has basic amenities as of now because we just finished construction in October 2020. During my weekend stays, I just sleep on the floor with my pillows and blanket. I also often visit my small fruit tree farm about 3km away from my house.
Before the pandemic, I used to do road trips to the beaches of Bataan and Zambales. I currently work on environmental consulting so my work is output-based (with very busy days and sometimes with very laidback days available for rest or out-of-town trips).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My work allows me to go places practically all over the Philippines ... as well as Bangladesh to Beijing and Jakarta, from Stockholm to Trieste and Berlin. I also have relatives who allowed me to stay for a couple of days in Busan, Toronto, Chicago, Christchurch and Brisbane on short vacations. I have not tried asking 'strangers' to host me ... yet.
