Hi, my name is Vasilis (Billy) I am greek and I am 22 years old. I grew up in a village near the city of Veria at Greece. Right now I live in Thessaloniki also at Greece (the 2nd biggest city in Greece) because of my studies at Pharmacy school of AUTh. Generally I am a carefree person and I like having fun in whatever I do either it's a hobby, either a job. My greatest cultural passion is music and my greatest physical passion is mountain hiking. I can speak english and italian and I like to practice my skills by meeting people. I consider myself as an open-minded person and easy with the others. I am ok with almost everything.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

It all started when I gone for vacations at Valencia in Spain where some friends were having their erasmus studies. I met so many people from so many different places and though we had just met we were like family. I still keep in touch with every single of them and I met many other people too from then, people that I hosted without being a "couchsurfer". When I heard for Couchsurfing, I was excited by the very idea because it is almost the same thing as when I was in Spain. I want to meet people from all over the world, show them my culture and learn theirs, host them at my place and be a guest at theirs.

兴趣

Pff I am pretty sure I have interests that I haven't discover yet. Anyway, I spend many hours everyday by playing music (trumpet, bouzouki, guitar), I like jogging and other physical activities such as, various team sports, skiing, biking, mountain hiking/climbing and exploring landscapes. When I am in the mood I will read a book ot watch a movie. I also like cooking and I am very interested in travelling. I like gathering with my friends and have fun in many ways. I know that I forget many of my interests but nevermind...

As far as it concerns music, I appreciate ethinc (rebetiko, folk, african, asian, balkan ecc.) but generally, I cannot say no to the old time classic: Rock (Dire Straits, Iron Maiden, Guns n' Roses ecc.), Blues (BB King, Muddy Waters, Clapton...), Jazz (Miles Davis, Dave Brubeck) and of course Rock n' RolL!!!
I am not good with movies but recently I saw a movie called The Theory of Everything and I liked it. Ahh, I like Family Guy a lot.
I read some adventure books such as Splinter Cell but I also read about Philosophy and Charles Bukowski.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I travelled in Chalkidiki at summer as a street musician with my bouzouki (musical instrument) and just a pair of clothes. I was sleeping on bences, at stranger's houses and I met one of the most important people in my life!!! I think that the couch will be way better though.

That's a difficult one. I think it will be clear when the time comes but I can say for sure that I am open to lean whatever someone has to teach me and to share many things and thoughts that I own.
