À propos de moi
CURRENT MISSION
Ride a motorcycle across every corner of the globe (globes have corners right?)
ABOUT ME
One word...Scrumptrulescent. Well that's enough about me. How about you?
Well, in story form, I've embarked on a lifelong round-the-world trip. Except I break it up into two week chunks (when I can get out of work). And come home in between trips. So not really round-the-world. But I intend to do a motorcycle trek in every longitude/awesome destination I can find. So far I've done a solo trek around New Zealand, coerced 2 buddies to do a expedition across Europe to the Swiss Alps, and have ridden most of the way across America. Nothing like getting a feel for a country by speeding down backroads inches away from killing yourself. Who wants to do Brazil next?
PHILOSOPHY
Not all who wander are lost
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've had some awesome experiences surfing with others. And now I have a place available for other surfers in the heart of one of California's touristy destinations. Although I get a lot of "one-night stands" of people transiting Highway 1 from San Francisco to LA. Take your time when you're here and I'm happy to show you around, maybe even build a bonfire on the beach.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
The best part about my job are the people I work with. While I was in Hawaii, I actually had two buddies crash at my place for three months. It started as just an offer to help someone transition, but turned out to be a lot of fun. I've also stayed with some great people and always enjoy learning new things from the way others live.
Then I ended up crashing in San Diego for a while. Thankfully, I have some married friends there. Since they are both in the military and were both gone when I got to SD, they were cool enough to let me hold down their place. And their house was amazing, including a swimming pool/jacuzzi and a great view of downtown. It also gave me the ability to go and explore SD and meet new people without worrying about where I was sleeping that night. Of course, I ensured they had a freshly cleaned house and a stocked fridge when they returned.
I've had hosts in Las Vegas, Christchurch NZ, Caen FR and other places who have made my adventures so much more awesome than I could have planned. I need to repay some favors.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
I've hiked the Na Pali coast of Kauai, then spent the night on a secluded beach where a waterfall was the shower and wild fruits were served up fresh. If you want to talk interesting people, you have to meet the "Valley People" of Kalalau. I also took a motorcycle trip around New Zealand while on R&R from a remote base in Western Afghanistan. I've crisscrossed California and wild swaths of the continental US. I've even dragged some friends on a trans-Alps journey on rented motorcycles (http://youtu.be/VLQJi8DrPCs). It's been an awesome journey.
