ABOUT ME

Name's Vu (vooo) - born and raised in Oklahoma then decided to make the upgrade to Austin, TX - the live music capital of the world. I enjoy trying new things, challenging myself, and living life to the fullest; and I try being around others who have that same "carpe diem" mentality. Of course every now and then relaxing and re-energizing is a must as well.

Getting out there and building the CS community one couch at a time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed in Orlando, DC, New York, Peru, Miami, and Madrid and participated in a weekly Spanish class with local CSers here in Austin.

兴趣

Traveling, food, and music. Whether it's hiking/camping in the middle of nowhere or running around a big city - just being able to get away energizes me. I love trying new restaurants and cuisines. More often than I'd care to admit, I plan my sightseeing trips around where I want to eat. I also have a major sweet tooth - so finding a good italian cream or cheesecake makes my day. I have always enjoyed going to concerts and live theater performances, playing instruments (saxophone, guitar, piano), or singing along at a local piano bar.

Oh, and I'm part of an 8-man team in the National Competitive Karaoke League (3 time champion :p )

Going back to Vietnam, getting the chance to meet my grandparents, uncles, aunts, and cousins for the first time in my life, and developing a better understanding of who my parents are and where I come from.
