About Me
My name is Vuk, I'm from Belgrade, Serbia. I have spent a part of my life in London, UK, but I went to school in Belgrade. I work as an online English teacher, which means I'm free to travel. My free-time activities include playing guitar, spending time on my computer, hanging out with friends, nothing out of the ordinary I s'ppose :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe that, if you spend too much time in a homogenous society, it takes a toll on you, provided that you want to experience and learn about other cultures, about people with different cultural background. I would like to meet people from all around the world, to hang out with them, to exchange experiences, to form new friendships :)
Interests
I like playing the guitar, it's been something I've enjoyed for many years now. In addition, I spend time on my computer, reading, listening to music, playing games and overall doing things I enjoy doing when alone. As for my ambitions, I hope to one day become either a web developer or a language researcher or teacher, as I am equally fond of programming and of learning new languages.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I don't know if this qualifies as amazing, but I'll try. One time, at a public bus, the engine broke down, and we were stuck with doors unable to open due to the mechanics not functioning. Suddenly, the engine started smoking really badly (most of the buses in Serbia have their engine inside the bus itself), and all the passengers started to struggle to breathe. We opened the windows, waiting for help, but the windows were too small, and the smoke wasn't disappearing quickly enough. It became very dangerous.
What follows happened in a flash. I remember not being able to breathe, and impulsively deciding to try to break the door down. I took a small step back, and rushed to the door with all force I could muster at the time. I managed to break it, falling down on the street outside the bus. I broke my arm when I fell, or when I hit the door, I'm not sure, and was very banged up otherwise. All the passengers, including the driver rushed out of the bus. They were extremely relieved and overjoyed.
The funny thing is, the bus company wanted to sue me for destruction of property, but due to all the other passengers' willingness to vouch for me, they decided not to press charges.
I'm not sure this is what's called amazing, more of an instinct for survival that kicked in. It's possible that it wasn't really life threatening, but still, this is the closest to "amazing" that I got in my life.
