About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Simple travel = simple enjoyment.
ABOUT ME
Simply put, I'm a 19 year old lad looking to have a whole lot of fun on my year off whilst I'm travelling. Got my flights sorted to head out to Oz, NZ and the US from Feb to Aug. If you're wondering what I look like, just take a look at the pics above - yeah, I know I'm ugly! ;) I enjoy spending time with people, and I reallly enjoy seeing and doing a HUGE amount of things - I'm game for anything to be honest from parties to leisurely afternoons on the beach to long hikes in the mountains!
Oh yeah - I'm Welsh. So make of that what you will.
PHILOSOPHY
My personal philosophy? To learn as much as possible in life about the world and it's inhabitants - I guess it's kinda obvious that I'd be doing Geography at university then, eh?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Well, I'm hoping to use CS over the next few months to meet an awful lot of wonderfully different people on my travels...obviously if anyone EVER wanted anything in return (accommodation/travel advice wise) then they'd be MORE than welcome to ask me - though when I'm at Durham university, I don't envisage hundreds of requests for people to stay on a nearby couch, because, well, it's Durham - not exactly London, and not exactly warm!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Is this asking whether I've ever randomly woken up in a stranger's bed? Well I'd better not answer that then. If you really want to know, then you're just going to have to ask! ;)
Kidding...
I've had a few CS experiences on my travels now which all seemed to run smoothly. I had a really good time CSing in Wellington learning lots of new things! Other than that I've been to a couple of meets and events in Australia where I met tens of wonderful new people :D
Interests
Interested in? All sorts. Erm...TV wise, I love a good comedy show (Glee haha) and more serious drama (Doctor Who :P). I LOVE seeing the world, and meeting all sorts of different people from different cultures - I think it's the part of me that loves to just learn and learn and learn! I'm a MASSIVE fan of all sports, from our British sports like cricket, to more international sports like football/rugby etc, to the obscure American sports that no-one else in the world gives two hoots about! I love socialising with randomers...good for couch surfing, no?

Music, Movies, and Books
Les Mis - we did it at school (yeahh I was Valjean...), and I have a personal pull towards the show. I really want to watch it whilst its on tour in the US (probably in LA in July). Otherwise I don't really have favourite films/books/music, but I'll listen to anything apart from rap, and I'll read a lot of autobiographies (that's my love of people again...). Movie-wise, I love to watch a good comedy, the odd action film and OCCASSIONALLY will allow myself to watch a rom-com (obviously with a girl).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Went to India on a Cricket Tour with my school back in the summer of 2007. The WHOLE tour was amazing, but the major highlight was when we got to play cricket with a group of kids from a small village school that we helped to fundraise for. We then visited that school and the entire experience was absolutely incredible. To see people surviving on absolutely nothing gives you a whole new perspective on life in general. :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm thinking of stuff to go here. I've been told I'd be a good teacher - but I REALLY don't want to start doing that yet! Let me have my own youth first, please!!!!
