About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To simplify life. It's easier that way.

ABOUT ME

Amongst other things I am a former network specialist, former system administrator, former database administrator, former network administrator, former founder and owner of personal security company, former founder and owner of a financial advice company.

These days though I spent most of my time doing photography. It meant taking a hit to my income but at least I love what I'm doing. On that note, I also love dancing salsa. The best part is that I get to combine the 2 and I do photography for a decent number of international events every year which means I get to travel a lot!

PHILOSOPHY

Simplify life. It's easier that way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

True to the name, I'm offering my couch.

Strangely enough I haven't really used couch surfing, not even with the original CS project. I guess that's mainly because I know people all over the world so I usually just crash with friends when I'm travelling. And so far all the requests I've had to host people have unfortunately been for days that I was a way or was already hosting friends.

But I still love the idea. I love meeting interesting people and let's face it, you have to be a cool person if you're willing to open your door to strangers. Aside from that, there is nothing like getting to know a place with the locals. Nobody knows a town better than they do!

Interests

I love combining my interests. Traveling to take pictures of an event where I can hangout and have food with friends, do some dancing and meet new people is what I do half the year and I love it. I can't think of a better way to live.

Music, Movies, and Books

No idea where to even start here. My taste is eclectic when it comes to music. I'll listen to anything from Classical to Salsa, from R&B to Rock.

And it's the same with movies. Action to Romance, Drama to Comedy. Heck throw some cartoons in there as well.

By now you probably guessed it, the same for books. Although when it comes to book it seems I have a slight preference for psychological thrillers (think Jonathan Kellerman), thrillers (Grisham/Ludlum) and fantasy (Katherine Kerr/ Robert Jordan)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

To be honest, I'm not sure what to write here. Partially because I think it would probably sound like I'm bragging which would take away the amazing part and partially because... well, although some of my friends describe my life as a compilation of crazy/fun/exciting/interesting experiences, to me it's "just" my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

Enjoy life. It's too short not to.

Also, feel free to ask me anything you want to know about photography and I'll be happy to share what I know. I'm not Ansel Adams but having shot events for the last 5 years I do know a little bit about it.

What I Can Share with Hosts

According to most people I know, a bright disposition. Sure, life is not always sunshine and roses but then, being down about it doesn't make it any better so we might as well find the silver lining and focus on that.
