I've been on the road some way or another since February 2014 when I gave notice to my landlord and my boss and started a 9-month contract on a luxury cruise ship working as a personal trainer. Coming home felt like taking a step backwards so I booked a ticket to Spain and my life has basically been traveling, working (mostly seasonal work in France) and volunteering through workaway (in Spain, Portugal, USA and the UK) ever since. In 2018 I also did several courses on permaculture and natural building (earth and roundwood). After a failed attempt to visit Latin America last year, haha, I actually booked a ticket to Guatemala (and beyond) later this year. Excited!

I don't drink, smoke or do drugs :-) but I have no problem with people around me making different choices. I'm not a big party person, but I do appreciate a nice bar with good conversation or live music.
When I visit a city I tend to wander around trying to discover the city intuitively, just experiencing all the different impressions it has to offer in my own way. I don't need to see all the sites, or do everything. Enjoy life, meet people :-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Cycled all the way from Belgium to Israel in a 3 month trip, crossing Europe and into Turkey, Syria, Lebanon and Jordan before arriving in Israel. I stuck around for another 3 months, mainly in Nazareth and Tel Aviv.

Worked a 9-month contract as a personal trainer on a 6-star luxury cruise ship, sailing from South-East Asia to the Mediterranean and the Black Sea, back again and all the way to Australia.

4,5 years "on the road", and counting ;-)
