Hi!

My name is Wahyu, or...Wayu, if you feel that is so much easier :D

I'm currently living in Gothenburg for acquiring a Master's degree diploma in Global Studies. It's a bit complicated to explain what Global Studies is, but I promise you to tell what I have been doing here in Sweden when we meet. :)

Just like you, I am typically the one who cannot live in a box. Meaning, I am keen on living abroad, staying in a new place, meet new friends and share the experience I previously gathered.

For me, travelling is not just a sightseeing. More than that, it's all about journal, learning and experiencing. One more thing, one of my hobbies is to have a conversation with new people. Thus, travelling gives me an opportunity to know more people in this complicated (LOL) world. I believe that each of us is unique and I do also believe that your uniqueness can enrich my knowledge about something that I previously blunt about.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Why?

The are 2 main reasons:
1. I want to visit new places
2. I want to meet you! Yes! You!
Many people just let themselves onto couchsurfing just because they want to save money for accommodation. Well, that could be an advantage. But for me, couchsurfing is more than just saving money.

From my previous journey, I met a lot of people who became my friends till now. It's still baffling me that we can be a good friends only from one-night host or even just met on the intersection in Chiang Mai when I lost. Gather a new friend drives me to become more open, sociable and realize that one of the most important things in my life is to know you, my future friend (and travel-buddy in a long run) :)

From Couchsurfing, I got many lessons from my hosts and my guests. We've had a lot of discussions and we did a lot of conversations about many things ranging from destination, best place to live, recommendations for budget traveller, economy, politics and so on. That's really interesting, don't you think? :)
