Über mich
Hello! I’m Wakana from Japan, traveling across some countries after working on an animal farm in Iceland for a year 🇮🇸 The farm had many kinds of animals including cows, sheep, horses, goats, chickens, sheepdogs and a cat 🐄🐑
I always love to stay at someone’s house and that’s what I have done in most of the time when my travel. I have stayed with locals in Nepal, Laos, Thailand, the US, Sweden, Denmark, Greenland and Turkey.
There’re always precious moments and learnings when I stay with people and I love that experience :)
Currently I’m traveling so cannot host fellow travelers but I will open for hosting when I have a stable place for living :)
I’d say I’m very open minded, easygoing and happy most of the time. I like to go with the flow and even enjoy happenings. My host in Iceland told me that it’s quite easy to make me happy cuz I’m happy anyways no matter what 😆 but I have introverted side too, probably rather than extroverted. I’m normally more listening than talking but I’m practicing talking more about myself too. Looking forward to meeting people with good vibes and having conversations with :)
Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
I’m always interested in diving into locals when I travel to new places. That’s one of the best ways for me to learn about how people live there. I also like to learn and try what you eat in everyday life at home. I’d be more than happy to learn your recipes ♡

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe
Lived in north Iceland and worked on an animal farm with a local farm family for a year. Totally unknown and far place for me, had no connection before coming there but now I have some people who I can call family and friends ♡
Lehren, lernen, teilen
I’m always happy to learn about local cuisine, language, culture and your life :)
I can teach/share you Japanese culture, language, recipes etc. if you’re interested. Or possibly I can cook Japanese cuisine if I can get necessary ingredients nearby.
Was ich mit Gastgebern teilen kann
I can give you a Japanese name if you want :)
Would be lovely to write your favorite words, quotes or anything in Japanese calligraphy and gift it to you ;) I have the highest certificate in Japanese calligraphy so I’m not so bad at it I guess? (got the certificate when I was 9 yo).
I would gladly cook Japanese food if I can find ingredients ;)
I can also teach you Japanese language if you’re interested!
I like to start the day with a cup of chai so I can make one for you if you want to join ☕️ (I mean it’s not a necessary routine so I wouldn’t make it if the circumstances are not suitable)
