Hi I'm Wakeel and I live in Las Cruces, NM! I'm not a super-travelled person (yet), but I truly do enjoy meeting people of various backgrounds.

I'm pretty gregarious and generally am able to connect well with people who are open to being connected with. I know a little about several things and am curious about even more, so I'm usually able to carry on a conversation with almost anyone and enjoy doing so.

I am super into audiobooks and am quite proud of the growing list of titles I have read. My favorite books are "Of Human Bondage", "War and Peace", "The Water Knife" and "The Count of Monte Cristo". I've read many other books and am ALWAYS glad to talk about literature.

I'm a bit of a history buff, but I can't say I have a favorite period. I do enjoy learning about Ancient Rome, Imperial China and the WW2 era but like many things I'm interested in, I'm just starting on my journey of learning.

I'm going to be in the Bay Area this summer and would like to meet a few people and explore a little before settling down!

Interests

To me, audiobooks are a truly versatile art form. I always enjoyed reading, but after discovering audiobooks, I learned that listening to certain readers can be an absolutely delicious experience, and now I'm all about it and am a bit of an audiobook evangelist 😆.

I enjoy reading audiobooks about my favorite topics: speculative fiction, geopolitics, history, science fiction and economics and am always glad to trade book recommendations on these topics.

I also enjoy listening to "movie trailer" "video game" or "epic" music or orchestral compositions in these styles.
