i'm an open-minded and tolerant biologist and nature freak but also something of a nerd. Currently I'm doing my PhD but try to travel a lot too.

Leisure things i like are:
- respectful bush outdoor camping
- travelling on peaceful roadtrips
- make music with people from all other the world!
- endless walks and wild exploring in open nature
(beaches, mountain ranges, old forests, etc.)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I hosted and slept many couches already through the years and the least of them were arranged by this platform, but I believe in the power of "ubuntu" (or whatever you want to call it): the best thing one can do with own private space, is to share it

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Visiting the World Air Guitar Championships in Oulu, Lapland
- Drinking fermented horse milk with the yurt nomads in the Kyrgyz mountain plateaus
- Diving with enormous manta rays on japanese WW2 shipwrecks in Palawan, Philippines
- Deciphering prehistoric rock paintings in South African shelter caves behind a waterfall with a team of archeologists
- Playing the church organ of a German gothic cathedral at night
