Looking for a great first couchsurfing experience.

ABOUT ME

I haven't had much chance to travel in the past few years. I'm hoping that couchsurfing will expand my experience to include people and situations that I would never have come across on my own. I'm slightly on the reserved side, especially when meeting new people, but I'm looking to leave that part of my nature behind and travel more outside of my comfort zone. I have a feeling that it will be much more fun!

PHILOSOPHY

Always in progress. I thought for a long time that I had my personal philosophy figured out, but growing up has been a constant process of realizing I know nothing at all. Ask again in 5 or 10 years and hopefully I'll have gotten somewhere.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

This will be my first experience with couchsurfing. I've only ever heard of friends having great experiences, both with hosting and surfing. Couchsurfing seems to attract really interesting people, and I'm looking forward to experiencing travel as part of that community.

Lindy hop (swing dancing), writing and playing music, taking on exciting projects, writing, podcasts, scotch, good television, and convincing my friends to rap battle each other.

Probably paragliding in the Austrian Alps. Can't really go wrong with that.

I teach swing dancing part-time, and am always excited to share that with people. I am recently obsessed with learning pretty much anything I get a chance to, including but by no means limited to cooking, languages, obscure skills, and musical instruments.
