I'm a tall Dutch guy living in cosy Denmark with my lovely Australian wife. I love art and design, am a critical thinker, always up for discovery and fun. I most enjoy a good conversation with good company amidst good food.

A BIT MORE DETAIL
I studied and had my own business in the Netherlands. Followed the love of my life to Australia, dabbling around in academia while enjoying the sun. Right now I'm in Denmark, where I first continued my studies and now am designing digital solutions for people with skin conditions. I used to be nuts about photography, then fell out of love and am now trying to find that passion again. I love thinking and practicing game design in my spare time, as well as music (singing, guitar, bass).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My wife and I don't travel enough these days, but when we do, we like to really get to know places. Beyond seeing the natural and historical splendour of a place, we like to get to know the culture and the people. What is it like to live somewhere, what's the food like (very important!), what's people's outlook on life? Couchsurfing is the perfect starting point for that!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Two years ago I learnt to dive. It was magical to circle around a sunken ship, swim through a school of thousands of bright yellow fish and sit on the ocean floor with a shark. I hope to dive again soon!
