About Me

ABOUT ME

Aloha,
I'm Wanda.
When I was young, I always imagined myself on stage at the theatre. I love the performing arts and my big goal was to become an actress one day. I used to do vaulting and gymnastics, nowadays I'm into yoga and contemporary dance. After travelling through europe and staying in London for a year as an aupair, I decided to study visual arts in Germany. I am very creative and outgoing, interested in different cultures and languages. Especially on rainy days I like to read and draw, listening to audiobooks or podcasts.
But sometimes I still like to throw on a costume and dance through my flat, singing on the top of my lungs to some old song I found.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because I love to travel, as I'm sure we all do on this platform. I am a student, so my purse isn't that big. Couchsurfing is a great way to get to know people all over the world, share stories and give tips on what to visit and where to go in a foreign city. What is more interesting than seeing the places we visit through a locals eyes?

Interests

I love lists, we all do - so here it is:
- arts (either looking at other peoples work or doing it myself)
- theatre, film, shortfilms, circus
- books, audiobooks, graphic novels
- vaulting, gymnastics, dancing, singing
- fog machines, costumes
- porridge, artichokes, avocado, dates, gnocci, .... actually I like pretty much everything BUT raisins and olives.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once stayed with my friends in Sorrent, Italy. One night, we went on a midnight stroll and came across a path, that was only enlightened by moonlight. We were looking for an adventure, so of course we took that route. After about 15 minutes we came to a hidden bay. At first we only sat there and watched the reflection of the stars in the ocean. Then we decided to go in. So we took off all our clothes and as soon as our feet broke the surface, the sea suddenly startet to glow. It was like a thousand golden glowworms where swimming in the Water (later it turned out, that it actually was something like that: Its some sort of flourescent plankon). There we were in the ocean, the golden sea illuminating out bodies and above the glittering stars. It really was magical.
