About Me

CURRENT MISSION:

Eat my way through the world

ABOUT ME

The first thing I do when I set foot on a new country is to walk. It helps me get the feel and vibe of the place. Oh, and I always look for exits in case of a zombie apocalypse.

PHILOSOPHY

Talk to at least one local in every place you go to. At least just one, then and only then can you say that you have visited the place.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Interacting with the locals is the best way to get to know a place. I travel a lot because of my work and when I travel for leisure I overplan too much. I hope couchsurfing will allow me to meet people who loves traveling as much as I do.

Interests

Photography, traveling, cooking, making bottles and bottles of vanilla extract. I also love my dogs.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Anne Rice, Beatles, and Artemis Fowl.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got scammed in Vietnam; played Temple Run on the walls of Angkor Wat; kissed my husband in Indonesia; drank tea in Malacca; hoard makeup in Singapore; tasted my first snow in Warsaw, and shopped in Hong Kong, and traveled on my own in Northern India.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning about history of the places I go to.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Lots and lots and lots of stories about the Philippines. I love my country. I travel around the Philippines as much as out of it.

I can also cook adobo for my host. Adobo is quintessentially Filipino dish. It is best paired with rice. It keeps very well so leftovers can be redone into adobo flakes. There is a different version of it in every region of the country. My version is from the Visayas region. It's sweet, salty, and tasty. Or so my husband says. Just give me vinegar and soysauce!

Countries I’ve Visited

Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Poland, Singapore, Thailand, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In
