Originally from Los Angeles, I have lived in New York, Chicago, and North Carolina - now call DC home. I have been to 20+ countries, lived and loved in many. I vociferously consume life with passion and gusto. I run hard and fast. I think long and deep. I love.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am eager to share my city of Washington with those who visit, when I am here. When I am not, I am excited to learn more about where you live, how you live.

When I travel, I think about maps: you look at the large map of a country and you see the big "red roads" - the major highways. When you look at a regional map, you might see the "yellow roads" - the small state highways. But, when you look up close at a local map, you find the "white roads" - the ones so small and local sometimes they don't even have names. Those are the roads I try to travel. I am on my "white road" journey in this world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As of yet, I have helped a few folks find their way in DC. Before joining the site, I explored the world in a much less formal way. I am looking forward to better getting to know the world and its people using this tool!

Music, Movies, and Books

The Plague by Camus may be my favorite book. The last chapter of 1984 is my favorite chapter. I lived Bright Lights Big City for a while and have calmed down in recent years.

I read the New Yorker and the Economist weekly.
