ABOUT ME

I grew up in a small town in the North Island of New Zealand and after university I spent two and a half years in Korea teaching English. I have travelled to a lot of different places but there are always more that need exploring.

PHILOSOPHY

There are too many humans on the earth, so don't breed thoughtlessly. Recycle, be thoughtful, support charities, BE KIND.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

One night while hitch hiking through Taranaki in New Zealand, half of the sky was full of clouds and rain while the other side was clear, scattered with stars and a full moon. The moon cast a pale rainbow against the rain - it was white and ethereal and one of the most exquisite sights I have ever witnessed.

I think that a danger of networks and communities is that they become very human-oriented. I feel less and less loyalty to my own species as I see what we do to the planet. I am more interested in the condition of life in general, which humanity threatens rather than supports. Go through life remembering the cost we demand from the planet, and try to tread lightly. Use public transport or walk to avoid driving. Don't breed. Think independently and don't buy in to the corporate, capitalist mentalities that demand consumption and wealth. We don't need more of that. Nurture and cherish the earth!
