Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I adore people:) I love the spontaneous connections and chatterings of being out and about, those on the way to work, over the garden wall, on a bus somewhere:) I’ve met such beautiful intriguing souls over the years and each one has travelled on with me in some way:) through my partners CS account we have hosted many wonderful people over the years and those meetings have been precious, it’s a real gift to host folk. So someday I hope I will have my own couch surfing adventures too, and see it from the other side! I’m really keen to see the world through others eyes, what a gift to be given an insight into the lives of others who might well have stayed strangers. I’ve spent my young adulthood wiggling my way out of a very shy shell, and meeting people and hearing their stories, has really helped me figure it all out:)

Interests

Im a bit of a dreamy creature, enthusiasm for different things comes and goes, but I ALWAYS delight in being outside, watching the world happen and seeing patterns and wonder, meeting other creatures:) I like to get lost in the company of an instrument, go into a dreamy state and let it flow:) same in the company of paper and paint, or a pen! ooh, I love to be journeying too, I come alive on a journey:) especially if it’s a bit of a challenge

Music, Movies, and Books

I’m a very feeling first being, I’m seeking music that comes straight in through my open chest and races round my body like a flock of starlings:) Doesn’t seem to be much of a theme, I get a kick out of all sorts of sounds:) a local, and long time favourite artist, would be Kathryn Joseph; MAGICAL being.

I WISH I read more. Hard to squeeze it in, but I love a strange and witty story:) I’m making my way through‚ vampires in the lemon grove’ at the moment

‘Fly away home’ is a BEAUTIFUL film, such a good story:) it was my favourite as a kid, and still now I reckon!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Got any sad and holey socks or frocks? I’m a darning/mending fiend! Or I could sing you some soft songs, if you have a guitar to hand? (Though I’m very shy, I’ll play like a wobbly moth) Otherwise, I’d be so happy to feed you or help out with whatever needs doing:)
