Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm back in Columbus.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

No formal experience but much independent study. In my adulthood I've slept on many a couch and hosted many a friend/hanger on.

By now I've met with a few CS'ers for activities, and it's been very fun and enlightening

Interests

My favorite thing in the world is going for walks. I love wandering streets and back alleys and just exploring cities. I also like to hike but haven't done much in the past few years.

I also like food related DUI things. In the past I've done some urban foraging and brewed beer and cider. I like to cook and bake bread but I'm only so-so at it (I keep myself happy :).

I have a weakness for politics/current events. I feel like I'm always thinking about how the world could be a better place. I blame a childhood misspent reading sci-fi. I'm not really militant about political things, you would have to provoke me ;)

I'm starting to get interested in ideas of sustainable living. What does a sustainable society look like. What technologies and cultural values are needed? How will we get there?

I'm a vegetarian, but I'm not preachy about it :)
