2/15/26 Soon I am I am going on a one week trip to Germany with my fiancee, David. We are hoping to meet locals who love fruit trees, gardening, insects, magic tricks, tuba music, accordions and/or good conversation.

I love the outdoors, especially bopping around on my bicycle and hanging out in trees. I like to find the best mountains for hiking, trees for climbing, and hot springs for lounging. Oh and eating. I really like eating.

I LOVE hosting people, especially when they will show me how to cook their favorite recipe or want to ride bikes with me. Right now I am traveling and am hoping to meet people who can show me the 'local side' of a town or who I can share stories with.

FOOD. really *truly* my favorite thing. I have a fun loose-leaf tea collection, bake french bread weekly, grow my own vegetables, and drool over most any food. Bakeries are something I always search out.

BICYCLES. I have worked for a few different Bicycle Coalitions (nonprofits promoting people on bikes) and love riding my bike around town to run errands.

PLANTS. Besides growing vegetables I love having a cutting garden too. I am an amateur seed collector and have a library for a few hundred California natives. Redwood forests are my happy place and my favorite place to sleep is strung up between two trees (or granite boulders) in a hammock high on a ridge line.

SIMPLE LIVING. Having few possessions makes me happy happy happy.
