Get a teaching job in the city; take smaller road trips throughout the US, and set up a road trip down to S. America.

PHILOSOPHY

That one is still a work in progress. Currently I think its closest to a quote by William Penn:

"I expect to pass through life but once. If therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do to any fellow being, let me do it now, and not defer or neglect it, as I shall not pass this way again."

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Though I can't offer a couch currently, not my couch to offer, I would be more than happy to meet up and show you around the area. If you traveling through Chicago and you want a museum buddy or something of the sort. Also, any place that I've traveled to, I'd be more than happy to give you some suggestions on good places to crash if you're not using CS, good spots to chow, or things you can do along the way. I can help you out with Prague, coastal parts of South Africa, and most parts of the US east of the Mississippi.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None just yet, but once I've got my own place I hope to offer a spot to anyone who needs/wants one.

The closest I came to couch surfing thus far was backpacking through South Africa.

Movies: TONS of them! I'll give a few just so you have an idea: Benjamin Button, any Pauly Shore movie, Eternal Sunshine, Garden State, Shawshank Redemption, etc. Kind of a broad interest.

Music: Also, I love many groups and am always on the lookout for new talent: These are my top five currently but they change pretty much weekly, let me know if you've got any suggestions! Hot Water, Skwatta Kamp, Andy Davis, Imogen Heap, Lady Antebellum.

Books? I'm usually reading 2 or 3 books at a time. I'm currently reading "Into the Wild", "Winkie", and I'm going to grab a copy of "The Watchmen" so I can read it before the movie comes out.
