Hi there! My name is Wanheng and I am a second-year master student from Beijing, China. Currently I am an exchange student at the University of Helsinki in Finland. I am easygoing, open-minded, and sometimes like meditation. ^_^

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Well, actually I first heard of the concept of "sha fa ke" (sofa guest, couch-surfer) from one of my best Chinese friends about two years ago, a girl who spent a whole year couchsurfing around China. I definitely has been attracted to this idea!

I think it is the best way to explore local culture and way of living, and build up friendship and trust. In my opinion both the hosts and couchsurfers are with an open, curious and cosmopolitan mind as well as a sincere heart.

As it is my first time to live abroad, I would make full use of the chance! I am also thinking of traveling around Europe for the whole January in 2016, hopefully doing lots of couchsurfing.

To me traveling means far more than sightseeing, and it is more about exposing yourself to different ways of living and thinking, about making friends with different people!

兴趣

I have a passion for photography, I like to take pictures whenever I see some beautiful moments, about life, scenery or anything. Some photos I took are available in my profile. I am also fond of traditional Chinese calligraphy and Chinese chess, doing them since childhood.

As for sports, basketball and Pingpong are my favorite!

Other hobbies, cooking and playing guitar are the recent attractions to me!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Though the most amazing thing is always yet to come,

recently I have designed a set of postcards using the photos I took in Finland and Estonia, and distributed them to my friends.

I can teach Chinese language, Chinese chess or Chinese cooking! Share my stories in my both Chinese villages and metropolitans, since I grow up in a village in south China and lived in Beijing for over six years.
