About Me

I'm a software engineer in a tech company in Singapore. I'm a huge UFC fight fan. One of my bucket list items is to watch UFC 281 in Madison Square Garden, NY.

I'm an avid runner. I run 2 miles every single day.

I'm also a huge fan of standup comedy. I've been to the comedy store in LA twice. I have attended live shows by Bill Burr, Doug Stanhope, Joe Rogan, Bill Maher etc.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is just different from airbnb and youth hostel. Guests and hosts usually interact and you get to meet the real person.

Interests

I love watching UFC or MMA in general. I don't do it, I just watch it. I developed a passion for it because I'm invested in the journey of certain fighters like Dustin Poirier, who inspires me. There are also personalities like Chael Sonnen and Dan Hardy, who break down the fight business, which makes the sport very fascinating.

I’m interested in politics. I get my news from YouTube, my go-to is breaking points by Krystal and Sagaar, it was formerly called rising.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books
12 rules for life by Canadian professor Dr Jordan B Peterson
Jordan Peterson is someone who means something special to me. His self-help book 12 rules for Life makes me accept responsibility and be less whiny. The idea is that being weak or a victim does not mean you are virtuous. Being strong does not mean you are an oppressor. I also read a little Carl Jung because of him. Basically integrate your shadow, or dark thoughts into your consciousness, instead of oppressing them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I fended off a street burglar in Florence.

I got stung by 5 bees in Malaysia

I hiked the four mile trail in Yosemite in 4.5 hours, it was supposed to be 6-8 hours, we were short on time :P

Watched ufc 281 in madison square garden, Israel adesanya got TKO-ed.
