About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Extended travel, learning French and preparing for masters degree in France.

ABOUT ME

I like to do strange new things, travel to countries I can't pronounce, and do things that get my heart racing. This all began after leaving my University in San Diego, California to go study abroad. From there I got lost in the alleyways of Edinburgh, Scotland for half a year, and then completely being lost in translation in China for a year. That got me hooked. I have been traveling the majority of my time the last 6 years. I plan to keep this traveling rolling and continue to meet some great people along the way...many of the times thanks to Couchsurfing.

It may seem like I just like getting lost in the back alleys of Nepal or suffering from heat exhaustion in Southern India, but underlying that my motivation is simple: to help when I can and learn wherever I can, and work on being a decent human being.

NOW WHAT?:
Currently I'm traveling quite quickly across Asia from the rich and cold countries to the poorer, warmer countries. Now I've been slowing down and started live in locations that attract me and get to know the people and culture, not just the places.

WHATS NEXT?:
My next stop is France where I'm studying French for 3 months. The ambition is there but my acquisition of French as of now is at level -1. I'm slowly getting there and looking forward to making new French friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Couchsurfing is how I get to know locals when I'm traveling alone, which ends up being quite often. I don't often have my own place, so when I do have a place I like to host.

But what I like most about Couchsurfing is the community. Getting to do meet-up and gatherings with other likeminded people around the world is how I participate most in CSing most often.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted people and it's been a very fascinating experience. And I´ve been lucky enough to have Couchsurfed around the world in China, Switzerland, Germany, Turkey, and Egypt.

Interests

Positivity. yes, pictures. Social Entrepreneurship. Things that make me chuckle, typically the edgy and offensive. Strange unexpected new experiences. Plants. The future. The Metaphysical and unknown. Conspiracy theories. Adventure

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a lot of music, electronic to indy...

Big fan of Jack Kerouac

Movies and TV shows: Office Space, Donnie Darko, Arrested Development, Chappelle Show, Cloud Atlas, Tron, so many more...I lean towards funny movies over the traumatizing horror ones.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This is too tough, but I just got blinded by lightening on a Colombian beach for 30 seconds.

Teach, Learn, Share

Business and social entrepreneurship, decided not to work in a office for the rest of my life and instead have freedom. I dig the unknown and conspiracy theories. Know about the outdoors/camping along with tech/computer stuff. Spanish. Cooking with minimal ingredients. Minimalism and thinning out.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My cooking, stories, and dark chocolate

Countries I’ve Visited

Bolivia, Cambodia, Colombia, Ecuador, Egypt, Germany, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Laos, Nepal, Peru, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Syrian Arab Republic, Thailand, Turkey, Viet Nam
