I had a minor fracture to my kneecap three years ago. While I was physically crippled for 6 weeks relying on crutches to get around, it was also the longest and most depressing time of my life. I vowed that once I was fully mobile again, I would never take life for granted and to appreciate all the things in life, no matter how petty or trivial they seem. I also told myself I would travel more which is what I have been doing. Now that I am 99% recovered, I try really hard every day not to take things and people for granted and really to appreciate what comes my way.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet more people and learn how to live locally. I have been fortunate to have been hosted by some very generous people through my travels and CS makes me want to pay it forward.
I love visiting art galleries and museums to learn about culture and history. I also really like being a tourist in my own city and exploring the heritage neighbourhoods. I'm also into public art and art in general, though I don't do any myself. I like live music and admire those who can play an instrument because I don't have the patience to learn!
