I like to do things. Mountain climb, scuba dive, sky dive, bunjee jump, play tennis, read books. Stuff like that.
Nothing is going to get done if we don't do it ourselves. The way to change the world is to change yourself. Everyone has their own unique point of view. Instead of looking at other people as different, I think we all need to respect each other. Deep down we're all the same. We want to love and be loved. We want to understand the deeper meaning. To look at things deeper and deeper still. That is the beauty and mystery of the world. It can never be fully understood, but you can forever get a little closer to the truth.

PHILOSOPHY

Life has ups and downs. Keep doing stuff and stuff will happen. If you love life, life will love you. Don't miss an opportunity to accomplish something. Let's enjoy the moment before it's gone. It's too precious to waste.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

CS makes the world a little smaller. All of a sudden you have a friend in a far away place that you'd never have anything to do with otherwise. I like to meet people from other countries and cultures and exchange ideas. I like to perform my show for children in places they never saw anything like it. I've performed for kids in mountain villages in Thailand, inner city in Romania, and on the streets in Egypt, Israel, and many others.
I also like to show people around New York and let them feel the wonder of the place.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I think its amazing that you can step off a bus or a train in a totally strange country, not know a single word of the language, and suddenly a person you never met before comes to fetch you and treats you like a brother. That's so rare yet that's the way it should be. And CS makes it possible.

Interests

Opera and Rock and Roll, sports and books, walking and driving. Humor. Chess and Scrabble. Ping Pong. Foozball. Tennis. Art and art history. Nature. The mountains, the jungles, the lakes and seas, the oceans and rivers. I like to take a swim in different bodies of water throughout the world. I like to know the history and culture of places in far away lands. Anything that teaches and enriches life. I like to see animals in their natural environment. I've seen dolphins in the sea in Panama and Bulgaria. Bears in Alaska, whales in Alaska and Boston, seals in California, monkeys in Costa Rica and Burma, sloths, and tucans in Costa Rica, skunks in Chicago. I have a background in science, especially in biology, zoology, and anthropology. When I travel I like to focus on natural beauty and nature, art and art museums, zoos and culture. And if there's a circus in town, let's go!
