ABOUT ME
I love hiking, surfing, snowboarding, rock climbing, reading, cooking, playing instruments, and backpacking. I love all sorts of animals- especially dogs. I'm an optimist and always try and see the best in people and situations. I'm pretty independent and love to meet new people and hear their stories. I think you can always learn something new from someone. I also love to speak Spanish and can always use the practice.

Currently moving around the US as a wildlife biologist.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I've couch surfed on a summer backpacking trip in Europe and had an amazing experience! I also couch surfed when I was living in Chile for 4 months. I'd love to start hosting once I have my own place.

**Detailed, personal requests are always preferred – let me know why you want to stay with me (as opposed to all the other great people on Couchsurfing) and what kind of things you'd like to do in my city. Please don't request more than a week and a half in advance -- I can't plan my life further than that in the future. And please don't send a request for a stay longer than 2 nights. If you ignore these two things, I probably won't reply. Last minute requests welcome!

Things I love: Hot tea in the morning, a really good book, finding new music, adventuring in beautiful outdoor spaces, anything and everything about the beach, fresh mountain air, newly fallen snow, heartwarming videos, hanging out in my hammock, cooking good meals, rainy days, the smell of sunscreen, dogs, funky socks, running, sunrises and sunsets, jazz music, board games, naps, a good view.

Some of my favorite books are A Thousand Splendid Suns, Slaughter House Five, The Catcher in the Rye, Breakfast for Champions, and Harry Potter!

Music: I love to listen to jazz, bluegrass, indie rock, acoustic stuff, classical, funk, and classic rock. I'm open to pretty much any music but generally avoid most country, heavy metal, and EDM kind of stuff.

Pulp Fiction and Fight Club are definitely up there for favorite movies.

TV shows: Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Parks and Recreation, Trailer Park Boys, and many more.

I want to learn about other people's adventures and share my own. I'd like to learn what I can of other languages and share recipes, ideas, and stories. I'm also always down to swap musical knowledge as I love trying out new instruments. Conversations with new people, gaining perspectives, and hearing about other's experiences and also sharing my own are my favorite parts of couchsurfing.
