About Me

CURRENT MISSION

find the holy grail

ABOUT ME

I'm a student at heart, whatever that means. Currently the rest of my body is a student as well. Although I'd rather study something more practical, i'm studying philosophy because it's in my soul (if that doesn't exist, well, then it's in my...uh....bones?) I love music. Love it! My "dream" is to be a singer/songwriter extraordinare quixotically wandering the world in search of truth and the end of violence and heartache.

PHILOSOPHY

Life's confusing....sort things out!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Living in Los Angeles a few years back, I had the chance to experience the joys of hosting. My roommate had surfers over almost every week, and I absolutely loved getting a chance to meet folks from all over the world. Now I'm hoping to get re-connected in hopes of complimenting my future travels with a bit of first-hand contact with people who really know the place.

Interests

writing songs, playing guitar, trying to be funny, being clumsy, laughing at other people who are clumsy, travelling

Music, Movies, and Books

The Big Lebowski, The Shining and Willy Wonka..three classics.
Top five favorite song-writers: Leonard Cohen, John Prine, Paul Simon, Bob Dylan, Mason Jennings
Books: hmmm, Kerouac has always been an inspiration, War and Peace ( I wanted so badly to prove wrong the back cover's claim to be "arguably the best novel ever written" but, alas, I could not), anything else written during the harsh russian winter, Kant's Groundwork of the Metaphysics of Morals, Hesse's Steppenwolf, Lorca's Romancero Gitano, John Fante---especially Ask the Dust, I love Borjes' short stories as well

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Tipped a NY taxi driver $150 dollars.....and laughed all night long
