ABOUT ME

I am originally from Alabama where I've lived most of my life. I'm very proud of being a southerner. I moved to Missouri for a couple of years before going to college at Western Kentucky University where I majored in Meteorology and received my B.S. degree in May of 2010. In July of 2010, I moved here to Grand Forks to take up my first job as a meteorologist.

I'm a pretty easy-going person. I enjoy anything from meeting up with friends at the bar for a couple of drinks and chatting to heading down to the park in the afternoon for a game of disc golf to just having a nice quiet evening at home to relax and to everything in between. But, I'm always looking for new and exciting things to do, people to meet, and places to see. Hopefully one of these days I'll get to do something I've always wanted to do.....skydiving!

I'm brand new to CouchSurfing. So, right now just hoping to potentially meet new people and maybe surf a couch or 2 whenever I'm on the road.

Interests

I'm a weather nut, so I love severe weather and storm chasing. I love to fly! I used to take flying lessons but once I got to college I never had the time (or money) to finish up. But, I hope to be getting back in the pilot's seat soon. I love concerts but most of the bands I like rarely tour anymore. I'm more into 70's and 80's hard rock. I'm more of a spectator of sports and less of an athlete, but I do play disc golf and every now and then I pick up the golf clubs and attempt to play golf. I'm a huge fan of University of Alabama football, Roll Tide! I also like to hunt and fish, but since leaving the south, I haven't had the opportunity to do much.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went on a 2-week storm chasing trip in 2010 and caught 17 tornadoes!
