About Me

Hajimemashite!

I am a friendly, easy-going guy from Copenhagen, Denmark. I am calm by nature, and while Copenhagen is where my heart is based, I sincerely love the energy of moving around, experiencing new cultures, and meeting new people.

My Story
Back in the day, I actually thought I would have settled in Japan— my connection to the culture runs deep. However, life had other plans! Since 2006, I run a water sports business in Denmark called Kajakhotellet.dk (The Kayak Hotel). Most of the Summer I spend in a kayak by the sea. I love the sea and nature, but I also love the vibrant city life. I like the feel of the suns warmth in early spring. I love a good conversation and making life feel like living.

My Trip to Tokyo (Feb. 3rd – Feb. 20th 2026)
I will be on holiday by myself in Tokyo for three weeks. If you have a couch for a night or more, I would be happy to stay.

Why I Couchsurf
I am not looking for a free hotel. I am looking to connect with REAL PEOPLE and learn your story. I am curious, open-minded, and looking to meet wonderful local people to share stories and a meal (I love Japanese food!) or explore the culture I truly admire.

As a Guest
• I am very clean, respectful, and considerate.
• I bring a mat and sleeping bag (so you don’t strictly need a couch).
• I don’t smoke.
• I don’t drink (but I really don’t mind if you do).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In the early age of social Internet I used MySpace for meeting new people when travelling. These relationships have given me some really great experiences throughout the world. I love meeting people, experiencing and exploring together.

Interests

Good food and company. As a default Japanese culture. Using my body, moving around - not standing still. Watching people from a café. Kayaking, basketball.
