ABOUT ME

Well, I'm 22 and very laid back. I love chili cheese fritos and sweet cheap wine. I'm a hardcore feminist (which does NOT mean I believe females to be superiour to males, it means I believe them to be entirely complimentary and equal) I go to church on Sundays. Places that are tacky attract me. People who give off kindness at first glance are my favorite. But I think that's rare. Part of my "to become an optimist" mission is to change my feeling that genuinely kind people are rare, and that they can actually become the norm in your world. I love Iowa, except the cold winters. I love our clean air, blue skies, and humid summers. I love that there's more and more to do every day.

I usually hang out with Sam Hill's surfers, as of now. I'm looking forward to hosting my own!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Technically I haven't hosted anyone yet. I hosted someone who was being hosted by someone because the host was out of town but had already said yes. Does that count? Other than that I've hung out with lots of surfers staying with a friend, and I have to say that it's largely been a very positive experience.

Interests

Music, dancing in my living room, meeting new people, viewing fashion, tattoos, piercings, sushi, jewelry, God, how the world works, sociology, people watching, and I'm a total and complete sucker for deep conversations.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't watch a lot of movies. The Last Unicorn and the Princess Bride are great. Music...Tori Amos, Ani Difranco, Dream Theater are my top 3. Books...I like vampire books. Not like, Twilight so much. Books about feminism and religion.

The Army and going to a Navajo Reservation in AZ for a week. :)
